Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves working as an engineer on solid rocket motor projects for the Navy's missile programs, where you'll guide junior engineers, review designs and manufacturing changes, and ensure everything meets safety and quality standards.
It's a hands-on role supporting ongoing system maintenance and improvements in a government defense setting.
A good fit would be someone with engineering experience in propulsion systems who enjoys mentoring teams and solving technical problems in a structured environment.
You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER in the Bacchus Engineering Division of PROGRAM MANAGEMENT OFFICE SSP.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as an engineer performing solid rocket motor propulsion, to include design, analysis, safety standards, project management, manufacturing, and stakeholder coordination.
