This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS).
The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level.
The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
To qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements describes in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position.
Examples of creditable experience include: ??????knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in a professional or administrative occupation, such as would be gained through extended graduate study or experience and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments; or a comprehensive, intensive, practical knowledge of a technical field and skill in applying this knowledge to the development of new methods, approaches, or procedures.
Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
AND KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.
Knowledge of intelligence community policies, entities, missions, resources, operations, capabilities and requirements to perform intelligence research and operations planning, collection, target analysis and/or other intelligence-related activities.

Knowledge of the principles, concepts and methodologies of intelligence operations, research, analysis and integration; and skill in analysis/production of reports and other products in response to the specific needs of customers to include formulating, gathering, organizing and analyzing information; resolving conflicts; and presenting clear and concise findings.

Skill in conducting unbiased, difficult research, identify appropriate available systems/data sources, and produce collections requirements assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities and to develop new methods, approaches, or procedures.

Skill in analysis and production of reports and other products that respond to specific needs of customers to include formulating, gathering, organizing and analyzing information; and presenting clear and concise findings.
5.
Ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: 1.
Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. 2.
Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.
Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. 3.
May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in performance of temporary duty, both inside and outside the CONUS.
Requires availability for short notice work on weekends, holidays and evenings. Flexibility in adjusting scheduled workday is mandatory.
Prolonged periods of sitting, reading and intense data analysis are typical. The work is mostly sedentary performed in an office setting.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Major Duties:
The primary purpose of this position is responsible for assisting in providing finished intelligence on worldwide operational capability to utilize foreign air and space systems to a variety of intelligence clients, including the acquisition community, national policy makers, and operational commands.
DUTY 1: Independently extracts data from numerous databases to answer internal and external customer requirements; tracking medium to high priority production requirements through the tasking, processing, exploitation and dissemination processes.
Incumbent may manage a defined range of activities to ensure development, execution, and assessment of world-wide collection operations.
DUTY 2: Responsible for integrating complex intelligence information to enhance overall understanding of foreign systems; conducts research on asset capabilities and provides complex collection request input supporting worldwide operations.
The work consists of different and unrelated processes and methods requiring the employee to recognize conditions and elements that must be identified and analyzed to discern interrelationships.
DUTY 3: Independently evaluates new approaches and makes recommendation to improve the state-of-the-art data processing, analysis, and reporting.
Apprises consumers of developments and related background information associated to the tasking.
Contributes to the evaluation of new approaches to improve routine data processing, analysis, and reporting problems.
DUTY 4: Reviews and evaluates proposals for initiatives from government contractors for modifying or enhancing the efficiency and/or effectiveness of data processing, analysis and reporting tools, and makes recommendations for implementation into the production environment.
Maintains liaison activities and staff coordination through accepted channels of communication with counterparts at national intelligence organizations, the military services and combatant commands.
