Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves analyzing large amounts of intelligence data to uncover patterns and relationships that help solve complex criminal investigations for the Navy.
You'll create reports, charts, and new methods to interpret information from various sources, working in a team focused on naval security.
It's a good fit for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in research or data evaluation, especially in law enforcement or intelligence fields.
You will serve as a CRIMINAL INTELLIGENCE ANALYST in the Naval Criminal Investigative Service of NCIS. All Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) positions are in the excepted service.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector which demonstrates experience with the following: Ability to process and evaluate large volumes of intelligence information from a wide range of sources, using creative methodologies for unusual problems.
Knowledge of and ability to use various communicative methods available to convey information, facts and reports.
Ability to lead collection and research projects using analytical and evaluative knowledge and the ability to interpret data.
