Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves gathering and analyzing intelligence data to assess threats related to criminal activity, terrorism, and protection of high-risk individuals in the Navy's criminal investigative service.
You'll support investigations, create reports on potential dangers, and work with databases and partners to fill in information gaps.
It's a good fit for someone with experience in research and analysis who can handle sensitive information securely and enjoys collaborative work in a security-focused environment.
You will serve as a INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST in the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) of NCIS.
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service .
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience collecting, analyzing and assisting with the interpretation and synthesis of intelligence data; Experience navigating specified intelligence databases, message handling systems, and proprietary NCIS database; and Experience researching for, selecting and compiling specific intelligence information in preparation of formal, written products of various types of customers.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience researching and collecting intelligence data; Experience assisting with the interpretation of intelligence data; Experience utilizing basic intelligence principles and methods and establishing procedures to analyze and evaluate information; and Experience ensuring intelligence data is properly classified, stored and handled in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
