This job involves reviewing and analyzing financial statements from insurance companies to ensure they follow laws and protect customers, while spotting any risks or compliance issues.
You'll work with company leaders and other regulators to investigate problems and recommend actions.
It's ideal for detail-oriented people with a background in finance or accounting who enjoy solving complex financial challenges.

In this role, you will be handling annual and quarterly insurer financial statements, as well as all related supplemental regulatory filings to determine compliance with statues and regulations in support of the Department's solvency surveillance of licensed insurers and providers for the protection of policyholders and consumers.
Within prescribed timeframes, this position performs research and determines whether insurers and Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) are operating in compliance with insurance laws, rules and regulations and National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) standards and guidelines, as applicable.
You can expect to discern the difference between public and confidential information according to insurance statutes, regulations, rules and procedures and ensure that confidentiality is maintained.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, two days per week in office.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
