Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading IT projects focused on web technologies, managing Navy-specific applications, and maintaining online portals like SharePoint for a naval command.
It requires hands-on work with programming, databases, and troubleshooting systems to support military operations.
A good fit would be someone with a couple of years in IT support or development, strong problem-solving skills, and experience in team leadership or customer-facing tech roles.
You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist in the Information Management Division of COMUSNAVEUR-COMSIXTHFLEET SEA.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Acting as a technical lead in regards to web-based technologies, AND Managing all FlankSpeed applications within the platform, AND Performing maintenance and developing the command SharePoint portal, AND Demonstrating proficiency with programming and scripting languages (i.e.
Java Script, PowerShell, VBScript)), and modern data base management (i.e.
SQL, MS Access, MS Excel) Your resume must also demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1.Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Ensures and manages systems resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, integrity, efficiency and recoverability.
2.Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Administering the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
3.Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Recommends resolution to problems and issues, prepares and presents reports and plans, and coordinates projects to meet future needs.
4.Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
