Key Requirements

  • Six years of IT experience with relevant technical skills (or equivalent without degree)
  • Strong skills in data integration, analysis, and processing from various systems for management decisions
  • Ability to manage teams, mentor staff, and implement policies for data maintenance, access, and release in compliance with laws
  • Proficiency in transforming raw data into reliable business information using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Full-time availability with standard hours (7:15 AM - 3:15 PM, Mon-Fri) and eligibility for part-time telework up to 3 days/week from Pennsylvania

The Office of Administration is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join the team as an Information Technology Generalist Administrator 2 and provide guidance and support to the Conservation and Environment Delivery Center (CEDC). Requirements

As an Information Technology Generalist Administrator 2, you will serve as the section chief for business intelligence, analytics and reporting.

You will manage team members in the CEDC organization to strategically integrate, analyze, and process departmental information.

Data is from various internal and external automated information systems that can be used for management decision making for agency planning, performance measurement, and action plans.

You will manage tools and techniques to transform raw data into useful information for the businesses served, ensuring that reported data is accurate and reliable.

In addition, you will participate in identifying and implementing clear policies for maintenance, access, and release of department information in accordance with set laws and regulations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:15 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Information Technology Generalist Administrator 1, Senior Applications Developer, Database Administrator 1, Data Administrator 1, Information Security Specialist 2, or Network Administrator 1 (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of information technology experience that includes three years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or
  • Six years of information technology experience that includes three years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services; or
  • Two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.


Other Requirements:

  • This particular position also requires one or more years of full-time professional experience developing reports with Microsoft Power BI either using the on premise and/or cloud version.
  • This particular position also requires one or more years of full-time professional experience developing applications and/or reports with Oracle databases as a data source.
