The Pennsylvania Public School Employees Retirement System (PSERS) is currently searching for an Information Technology Generalist 1 to provide technical support for the telephony infrastructure of the agency, assist in end user computing devices and administration of devices, and provide technical support for the PSERS call center.

As an Information Technology Generalist 1 for PSERS, you will be responsible for supporting the Agency at headquarters and all regional offices.
Work supports the development, application, and deployment of telecommunications services for the Agency.
This includes installing, configuring, and maintaining equipment and the associated software; coordinating with staff engaged in identifying operational problems related to hardware and software; and providing incident report notifications.
You will also produce management reports using various call handling statistics, support Cloud Fax solution, help in creating and maintaining call routing configurations, and document processes and procedures for call center configurations and software components.
Other responsibilities include mobile devises and the assignment of devices to Agency staff, installing and supporting mobile business applications, assisting the Information Security Office with the Mobile Device Security policies and procedures, and training staff of use of devices.
Candidates who will be successful in this role will have a strong foundation in IT support fundamentals, networking, software, and hardware (such as Microsoft IT Support Specialist Certificate); will be able communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; and can prioritize work independently.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. This position will work primarily in office and you will be required to report to the office based on operational needs.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
