This job involves providing hands-on technical support for computers, networks, and devices used by state government employees, including fixing issues, installing software, and helping with video setups in meetings.

The role offers some flexibility to work from home after an initial period and focuses on keeping essential systems running smoothly for multiple state departments.

In this role, your primary focus will be to provide Incident Management Support.
This includes providing technical desktop support services in problem solving the operation of desktop hardware and software; maintaining network connectivity as well as local printing mechanisms; and installing, configuring, and testing Wi-Fi, VPN, VDI, software, scanners, and other desktop-related hardware devices.
Work also involves assisting with video technology in conference rooms when necessary.
You will have the opportunity to research and recommend modern technologies for performance, reliability, and customization based on customer needs.
Additionally, you will be providing incident management services via remote control when an actual desktop visit is avoidable.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week upon successful completion of the probationary period.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
