Full Job Description

This position for The Defense Information Systems Agency is at Fort Meade, Maryland .

Time in Grade: For entry at the GS-12 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in the Federal Service.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-11 if outside the Federal service.

Specialized experience is defined as experience implementing and evaluation systems for information security in one or more of the major security program functional areas such as: controlled unclassified information, operations and/or industrial.

Qualification and time-in-grade requirements must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement. Major Duties:

  • Advise Agency mangers on new developments and advances in security processes, methods, techniques, systems, and devices.
  • Implements the process to accept and manage marking and designation of CUI in accordance with existing processes based in laws, regulations, and Government-wide policies.
  • Plans, develops, and performs program evaluations; accomplishes continual program oversight; performs studies, analyses, and forecasts; and provides authoritative advice and assistance to Bureau managers and officials on security programs.
  • Independently plans, develops, and implements security policies and procedures to ensure that classified material is received, transmitted, handled and stored.
