The primary purpose of this position is to serve as IT manager for the entire AF SAP Enterprise advising the AF Office of Special Investigations, Office of Special Projects (PJ) PJ Director (PJ/DR), Special Agent In Charge (SAIC), and PJ authorizing officials/delegated authorizing officials concerning IS/IA practices, procedures, policies, plans, and other guidance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Information Technology (IT) Management Series, GS-2210 (Alternate A).

Examples of specialized experience includes: Applying information assurance policies and system security procedures designed to protect communications and computer systems to include the entire SAP enterprise; evaluating current system security posture, monitoring activities, and assessing the security awareness knowledge of staff as it relates to assigned areas of responsibility; advising IT/IA counterparts and experts in the SAP community on a variety of situations/issues that involve applying or adapting new security technology concepts, applications, and/or practices; and implementing new policies or recommending changes to existing policies based on pending or new legislation and administration guidance updates.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible.
One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of the policies, practices, regulations, and laws concerning SAP information assurance management processes and initiatives, Clinger-Cohen Act, Federal Information Security Management Act, and Privacy Act.
Knowledge of the Joint Special Access Program Security Guide (JSIG) requirements, to include the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the Continuous Monitory Process (CMP).
Knowledge of the AF SAP Information Technology Portfolio Management processes to include but not limited to DoDI 5205.11, Management, Administration and Oversight of DoD SAPs, DoD 5205.07-M SAP Security Manual, NIST SP 800-53 Rev 4, Recommended Security Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations.
Knowledge of SAP information assurance management and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the DoD, AF, and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence the Special Access Programs process and information assurance management processes.
Skill to plan, organize, and direct the functions of a multi-person contractor element in critical aspects of Information Assurance practices for the AF SAP community.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
Serves as Senior Security Control Assessor. Strategic planner for IA processes to further SAP integrity. Resident AFOSI PJ technical expert monitor for SAP IA/IT systems.
Policy development, interpretation, and oversight in accordance with the Clinger-Cohen Act, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Privacy Act, OMB, DoD and AF SAP CIO guidance.
