About the Position: Serves as the 11th Airborne Division G3/5/7 Information Management Officer responsible for implementation of all facets of Information Management initiatives throughout the G3/5/7.

Program responsibility includes documenting, controlling and organizing various information management systems to allow for maximum utility and speed of access to enhance job performance and mission accomplishment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes implementing and managing all facets of an organization's information management and cybersecurity programs in support of training, readiness, and mobilization; delivering technical support, resolving hardware, software, and account issues to maintain continuity of operations.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Major Duties:

  • Implementing security measures, managing software controls, ensuring compliance with security policies, and training personnel on security procedures.
  • Oversees risk management, contingency planning, accreditation, and recovery processes to protect data, systems, and installations from security violations, physical damage, or theft.
  • Performs as a local systems administrator providing Tier 1 deskside support, offering initial technical assistance for hardware and software issues.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves problems with workstations, printers, and peripherals to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Prepares and coordinates project authorization documents, operational benefit statements, cost comparisons, status reports, requirements documentation, risk analysis, and other technical documentation.
  • Responsible for managing the acquisition, deployment, and replacement of IT equipment and services, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
