This job involves managing and leading technical programs for aircraft launch and recovery equipment (ALRE) on naval ships, including coordinating installations, solving complex problems, and working with naval commands and shipyards.
A good fit would be someone with strong experience in engineering or technical project management in defense or industrial settings, who enjoys leading teams and innovating solutions for high-stakes military projects.
It requires expertise in systems analysis and clear communication to handle diverse challenges in a fast-paced environment.
You will serve as an Industrial Specialist position in the SE & ALRE Group, Support Equipment Department, ALRE Department, Fleet Technical Services Division, CAFSU AIRLANT Branch of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-05/GS-12/13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following duties: 1.) Leading and coordinating all hardware and software aspects of ALRE system installations; 2.) Acting as the primary liaison between naval commands (e.g., SUPSHIP, TYCOMS), ship leadership, and industry shipyards; 3.) Establishing precedents, procedures, techniques for complex and unusual problems; 4.) Developing costs, schedules, and long-term budgets for projects; 5.) Serving as a subject matter expert and technical advisor on ALRE systems, resolving critical problems, and ensuring work quality.
