The Screen-out Element for this position is: Operating and maintaining diesel electric generating equipment; electric distribution systems; oil-fired generating equipment; residual fuel storage, transmission, treatment and auxiliary equipment.

Maintaining proper coolant, fuel, and lubricant levels. Utilizing all types of hand tools, power tools, and power assist equipment for making repairs and adjustments to equipment.

Operating drill press, hydraulic press, pipe threading machine and many other powered hand tools.

  • You will serve as a Industrial Equipment Repairer in the Facilities and Power Plant department at Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic (NCTAMS LANT).
  • You will start, inspect, make operating decisions and secure diesel engines and related auxiliaries.
  • You will perform preventative maintenance of large diesel engines, pumps, compressors, boilers, and other plant equipment.
  • You will assist Industrial Equipment Mechanics in more complex assignments such as engine control systems, fuel injection systems, pumps, governors and pneumatic systems.
  • You will perform other duties as assigned.
