You will serve as an ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I in the INSIDE MACHINE SHOP, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE: Ability to perform oversight, coaching and mentoring of Mechanical, Electrician, and Electronic Industrial Controls mechanics during the performance of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and other types of work orders.
Using the Electronic Facilities and Equipment Maintenance application (eFEM) for the execution of maintenance work orders in a real world or training environment.
Understanding the trade of a fully qualified Electronics Industrial Controls Mechanic (EICM).
Resolving working problems and taking necessary corrective action to overcome such delays as bottlenecks, equipment breakdown and material shortages in a trades training program.
