Full Job Description

This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position.

To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Conducting evaluation and analysis of child welfare programs serving unaccompanied alien children (UAC) and refugee populations (e.g., reviewing incident trends, program operations, or safety outcomes) to support policy and quality improvement.

Analyzing Child Level Events data and preparing reports by synthesizing quantitative or qualitative incident information (e.g., safety concerns, behavioral escalations, critical events) for use by leadership and oversight bodies.

Performing data analysis of unaccompanied alien children (UAC) grantee residential programs to identify child safety issues (e.g., evaluating patterns in significant incident reports, monitoring compliance with program standards, and recommending corrective or risk-mitigation actions).

Reviewing and analyzing child welfare reporting (e.g., behavioral notes, significant incident reports, home study reports) for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with policies, while identifying trends and validating information for internal or external inquiries.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As an Incident Reporting Specialist, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Produces and delivers comprehensive reports on incident trends and outcomes using both quantitative and qualitative data.

Serves as a subject matter expert on statutes, regulations and policies related to incident reporting, analysis and management.

Assess performance metrics and risk mitigation outcomes across the incident management lifecycle.

Provides technical support and guidance to ORR and grantee staff on data submission, reporting accuracy, and interpretation.
