Summary

This role involves managing how employees get access to computer systems and data at the Colorado Department of Human Services, including setting up accounts, ensuring security, and fixing issues to keep operations running smoothly.

Key Requirements

Work Unit:
Operations and Strategy (O&S) provides support services to help CDHS's offices, divisions and programs achieve their goals and make our agency as efficient, effective and impactful as possible. It also ensures the operational efficiency and effectiveness of CDHS by crafting and executing the Department's strategic plan and provides oversight of related work stream priorities.

The Division of Business Innovation, Technology and Security (BITS) helps CDHS streamline processes to better create alignment across our organization as well as help CDHS build a culture of operational excellence. Our team works to ensure that the technology at CDHS aligns with the department’s strategic goals and supports operational and business needs

HYBRID - 2 days in office; 3 days remote
Job Description:
Responsible for components of complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities associated with supporting the onboarding and offboarding efforts for CDHS. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides technical knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor. Will not have direct reports but will influence and direct activities of a team related to maintenance and operations for Identity Access Management (IAM) initiatives.

Duites include:
  • Support identity integrations across multiple cloud applications and third-party systems.

  • Administer Privileged Identity Management.

  • Support cross-organization portfolio projects associated with iterative development and continuous improvement opportunities for CDHS access management

  • Maintain security policies for user access, roles, and permissions, including multi factor authentication (MFA) and conditional access rules.

  • Support identity governance and lifecycle management practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (security, OIT, application owners) to ensure proper identity and access management practices across CDHS environments, ensuring compliance and reducing risks.

  • Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve identity-related incidents ensuring minimal impact to users and business operations.

  • Create and update user accounts with a focus on automating the tasks to the greatest extent possible.

  • Develop and maintain IAM documentation, including policies and governance best practices for identity access management.

  • Participate in agile ceremonies to facilitate planning and prioritization of assigned tasks

  • Provides instructions, guidance and procedural information to staff, supervisors and managers regarding access requirements and option

Qualifications


Experience Only:
Six (6) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the assigned work, specifically managing the provisioning, maintenance, and deprovisioning of accounts.

OR

Education and Experience:
A combination of related education and relevant experience (such as account provisioning, maintenance, and deprovisioning) totaling six (6) years.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications: IAM certifications such as CAMS or CIGE.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in IAM technologies and standards, including LDAP, SAML, OAuth, and RBAC.
  • Communication: Strong technical communication skills with the ability to brief leadership effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Service Delivery: A proven track record of delivering high-quality client services and work products within established timeframes.
  • Documentation: Strong documentation skills, including experience creating procedures, process flows, and user documentation for IAM applications.

CDHS Selection Process Explanation

Employment history is calculated on a full-time basis (40/hrs per week). Part-time employment is calculated on a prorated basis to determine qualifications.
