Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum is seeking a hardworking and dependable candidate just like you to apply!
This position will offer great benefits with the state, including 15 days of annual and sick leave per year or more depending on applicable state service.
Perform skilled and semi-skilled duties to install and maintain HVAC systems in the ships, piers, and buildings of Patriots Point.
Maintain qualifications and continuing education necessary to remain certified to effect repairs and replacements as needed in the maintenance of 127 shipboard units.
The job duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:
High school diploma and experience in the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems or in the operation and maintenance of HVAC mechanical and building control systems. Relevant experience may be substituted for the required diploma on a year-for-year basis.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employee may be required to work after normal working hours, on weekends, holidays, emergencies, and/or special events.
Employee is in a position designated as an "essential personnel," therefore, employee may be required to stay onboard USS Yorktown as part of an emergency crew during named storms to provide support during the storm, to conduct post-disaster damage assessment, and to take initial recovery actions following the storm.
