Requirements

In this position, you will lead a team of Refrigeration Mechanics, Trainees, Technicians, and Specialists responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Your duties will include ensuring the Farm Show Complex is adequately heated and cooled through various systems, such as gas-fired hot water boilers, gas-fired hot air systems, heat pumps, chilled water systems, and DX air conditioning systems, which can be operated manually or via HVAC BAS computer controls.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, during cooling season and 24/7 coverage with shift rotation as needed during heating season based on show schedule.
  • This position is considered essential and as such is required to report to working during emergencies and office closings.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six years of experience in the maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC and refrigeration systems, units, and equipment including four years working with commercial or industrial HVAC equipment and controls; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes four years working with commercial or industrial HVAC or refrigeration equipment and controls.


Special Requirements:

  • You must be in possession of an active EPA Universal Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
