Requirements

In this position, you will evaluate system performance and efficiency, diagnose issues, and repair complex HVAC and refrigeration system malfunctions throughout the Farm Show Complex and other managed facilities.

Responsibilities include installing, repairing, balancing, and maintaining a wide range of HVAC and refrigeration equipment; regularly working with building automation systems and technicians to monitor operations, troubleshoot problems, and verify corrective actions; and collaborating with other tradespeople to complete assignments and projects.

You will interact routinely with contractors, engineers, and technical staff. Work is performed independently and reviewed for quality and timeliness.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday. You will be responsible for mitigating and responding to facility emergencies during normal business hours and after-hours.
  • This position is considered essential and is required to report to work during emergencies and office closings.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Five years of experience in the maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC and refrigeration systems, units, and equipment including three years working with commercial or industrial HVAC or refrigeration equipment and controls; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes three years working with commercial or industrial HVAC or refrigeration equipment and controls.


Special Requirement:

  • You must possess an active EPA Universal Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification.

Additional Requirement:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
