The Department of Human Services is seeking a skilled Human Services Program Specialist to join our Division of Budget and Contracts.

In this position, you will manage special projects; monitor the status of program contracts; and track operating budgets and invoice payments to ensure accurate, timely reporting.
You will develop a strong understanding of the Commonwealth’s budget process, along with in-depth knowledge of the OMAP and its information technology infrastructure.
This role involves analysis, planning, evaluation, and contract oversight, with work performed at a high level of independence.
You will collaborate regularly with Commonwealth budget personnel, vendor financial representatives, and OMAP staff.
Your assignments will be critical to supporting OMAP’s daily operations and informing analyses used to identify program needs.
Additionally, you will be required to develop and use electronic tools, such as reporting and analytical applications, to effectively support these functions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment.
