We are in need of a Human Services Analyst to review, interpret and analyze statewide Medical Assistance policies governing different services and facilities.

Requirements

This is a professional management position within the Division of Policy and Research, Bureau of Policy, Analysis and Planning, Department of Human Services. The incumbent is responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and analyzing statewide Medical Assistance (MA) policies related to the following services: hospice, federally qualified health centers and rural health center; outpatient clinic and emergency room; physician; dental, podiatrist; pharmacy; certified registered nurse practitioner; chiropractor; optometrist; medical supplier and durable medical equipment; portable x-ray; home health agency; outpatient lab, community health worker; and violence prevention and housing. The incumbent must function and make decisions independently in discharging these duties.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, two days per week in office.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs; and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
