In this position, you will supervise staff within the Interstate Compact Section and oversee work related to three Compacts: the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children, the Interstate Compact on Adoption and Medical Assistance, and the Interstate Compact for Juveniles.
These Compacts ensure that the interstate and intercountry movement of children for foster care, residential care, adoption, and supervision complies with legislatively established guidelines and requirements adopted by all member states.
Responsibilities include planning, directing, and managing the overall administration and operations of the Interstate Compact Section, including personnel management and workload coordination.
You will apply the Compacts, the Child Protective Services Law, and relevant administrative policies to make informed decisions.
In addition, you will lead and support organizational change by mentoring, communicating, coaching, counseling, and fostering strong working relationships among staff as they adapt to new technology, procedures, policies, legislation, workplace demands, and workflow changes.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
