Base salary range: $51,332 - $66,732
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-8. Master's degree or 2 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves helping with hiring and organizing roles in the Navy's human resources team in Hawaii, including advising on qualifications, managing job postings, and finding the best ways to fill positions.
It's a good fit for someone with a couple of years of HR experience who enjoys guiding managers and applicants through the recruitment process and solving staffing challenges.
The role supports the U.S. Pacific Fleet and requires understanding federal rules for pay and placement.
You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT/CLASSIFICATION) in the COMPACFLT HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE.
GS-09 Grade level Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing advisory on a wide range of recruitment, staffing, and placement services to include strategic hiring methods, occupational design of the position, pay and compensation flexibilities, and/or qualification & eligibility requirements in accordance with human resources management concepts, laws, policies, practices, and analytical methods.
GS-07 Grade level Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing a wide range of Human Resources (HR) services in recruitment, staffing and/or placement to include utilizing human resources automated database system.
