Full Job Description

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT/CLASSIFICATION) in the COMPACFLT HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE.

GS-09 Grade level Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing advisory on a wide range of recruitment, staffing, and placement services to include strategic hiring methods, occupational design of the position, pay and compensation flexibilities, and/or qualification & eligibility requirements in accordance with human resources management concepts, laws, policies, practices, and analytical methods.

GS-07 Grade level Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing a wide range of Human Resources (HR) services in recruitment, staffing and/or placement to include utilizing human resources automated database system.

  • You will advise managers, employees and applicants regarding required qualifications requirements; and application, rating, interview and selection processes.
  • You will provide a variety of recruitment, staffing and placement functions such as: preparing and/or reviewing Requests for Personnel Actions; responding to data calls or official inquiries and providing strategic advisory on various methods.
  • You will analyze and determine the most efficient methods to fill vacancies and meet human resources needs for organizations serviced.
  • You will advise and assist management in matters regarding the administration of pay laws, rules and regulations, including Recruitment, Relocation and Retention (3Rs) and pay setting issues.
  • You will collaborate with staff and OCHR counterparts to discuss significant staffing issues, develop innovative staffing solutions and alternative courses of action.
