Base salary range: $51,332 - $66,732
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-8. Master's degree or 2 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves helping managers and teams in the Navy's Pacific Fleet office with hiring new people, placing them in the right roles, and classifying job positions to ensure everything runs smoothly.
You'll guide employees and applicants through the hiring process, analyze ways to fill open spots efficiently, and advise on pay rules and flexible hiring options.
It's a great fit for someone with HR experience who enjoys problem-solving and working in a structured government environment, especially if you're detail-oriented and good at communicating.
You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT / CLASSIFICATION) in the COMPACFLT HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing advisory on a wide range of recruitment, staffing, and placement services to include strategic hiring methods, occupational design of the position, pay and compensation flexibilities, classification and position management theories, and/or qualification & eligibility requirements in accordance with human resources management concepts, laws, policies, practices, and analytical methods.
