Job Description

Summary

This job is for a Human Resources Specialist in the U.S.

Army Reserve, based in Knightdale, North Carolina, where you'll handle personnel policies, process pay and administrative tasks, and ensure military unit readiness through inspections and reports.

It's a military technician role that requires you to be an active Army Reserve Soldier before starting.

A good fit would be someone with HR or administrative experience in a military or government setting, who is detail-oriented and enjoys teamwork in a structured environment.

About the Position: This is a Military Technician position with the 412th Theater Engineer Command, 363rd Engineer Command, 411th Engineer Brigade, located in Knightdale, North Carolina.

This position requires an active membership as a Soldier in the Army Reserve before a start date can be set.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07 OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Human Resources or Business Administration.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Major Duties:

  • Provide administrative and management support for the accomplishment of personnel functions for assigned programs.
  • Review personnel action requests to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Provide personnel management support to Army Reserve personnel within the area of operations.
  • Interpret regulations and policies, and advise on appropriate action as related to Human Resources.
  • Manage military databases and compile administrative status reports.
