Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves advising managers on employee and labor relations issues, such as handling disputes, reviewing case files, and ensuring compliance with agreements and laws in a Navy command setting.
It requires helping with performance programs, responding to inquiries, and supporting legal processes like hearings and grievances.
A good fit would be someone with HR experience in government or similar sectors who enjoys consulting on people-related challenges and has strong communication skills.
You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (EMPLOYEE AND LABOR RELATIONS) in the Commander Navy Installations Command (CNIC); Department of the Navy of COMMANDER, NAVY REGION NORTHWEST.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Using Employee and Labor Relations concepts, principles, laws and regulations to serve as a consultant to management in the areas of Labor and Employee Relations; 2) Assessing potential impact and precedent-setting implications of pending employee/labor disputes; 3) Developing/delivering briefings, status reports, and correspondence to managers to foster understanding and acceptance of findings/recommendations; 4) Providing advice and assistance to legal representatives of management in the technical aspects of personnel administration during formal hearings, grievances, and appeals.
