Full Job Description

The Michigan Civil Service Commission is looking for a motivated individual who has strong managerial skills, is organized, can analyze, and interpret information, and can foster positive working relationships.

This position will be responsible for managing a Human Resources Office providing a full range of human resources duties for Chippewa Correctional Facility, Kinross Correctional Facility, and the Northern Regional Business Office.

The position is located in the administration building of the Chippewa Correctional Facility. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Excellent managerial and organization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and think ahead to avoid potential issues.
  • Be able to build and foster positive relationships within the workplace.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, explain, and apply policies, rules, regulations, manuals, job aides, and collective bargaining agreements.
