Full Job Description

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST in the HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE of NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE COMMAND.

GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with HR recruitment and placement; providing assistance to managers on the development of positions and utilizing various automated/data systems.

GS:12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing and utilizing Federal HR recruitment, placement and affirmative employment principles and programs to advise management and technical services; applying a full range of position classification and position management principles and techniques to advise managers on the development of positions and utilizing various automated/data systems.

  • You will advise managers and supervisors on staffing requirements, resources, and problems in assigned offices involving a high degree of complexity.
  • You will analyze proposed changes to regulations and provide expert analysis, comments, and coordinates for responses.
  • You will create and evaluate position descriptions and provide assistance to supervisors and managers on ways to improve structure, work distribution, and the use of employee skills.
  • You will advise managers on human resource development issues and coordinate training needs survey to identify employee and management needs, potential training sources. and possible on-site training requirements.
