This role involves leading the civilian human resources team for the Navy Reserve Force, focusing on creating policies, managing personnel, and ensuring smooth HR operations to support over 58,000 military personnel.
The job requires advising top leaders on HR strategies, handling everything from hiring and training to compliance with laws and regulations.
It's ideal for an experienced HR professional with a strong background in federal government or military settings who enjoys strategic planning and team leadership.
You will serve as the Director, Civilian Human Resources (DCHR) for Commander Navy Reserve Force (COMNAVRESFOR), a Department of Navy (DoN) Echelon II major command reporting to the Chief of Naval Operations, COMNAVRESFOR.
You will support Navy Reserve readiness through policy development, oversight, manpower/personnel management, force structure, and financial management programs that directly impact 58,000 military personnel assigned to the Reserve Component (RC) of the United States Navy.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Executing, directing, or managing the delivery of civilian federal human resources (HR) services involving one or more of the following functions: recruitment and staffing, classification, compensation, labor relations, employee relations, oversight of automated personnel information systems, or employee development; ensuring compliance with governing laws and regulations; developing, interpreting, and/or advising senior management on HR policies and administration; and providing substantive input to the strategic planning of human capital resources for an organization.
