GS-05/06 The primary purpose of this position is: this is a developmental position with growth potential to the target position of Human Resources Assistant, GS-203-07, PD Rl3212, to perform entry level duties within the ARPC Reserve Service Programs Branch.
GS-07 CONT UNDER DUTIES In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, 0203 series.
GS-05 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-04, or equivalent in other pay systems.
Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of basic principles of human resource (HR) rules, procedures, and operations in an HR automated system sufficient for the maintenance of military personnel records and documents.
Basic knowledge of Air Force and Department of Defense files, laws, directives, instructions, policies and procedures.
OR EDUCATION: Successfully completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of, and skill in applying, fundamental and military human resources and management methods, principles and practices of military personnel associated with the Air Force Reserve; and standardized analytical and evaluative methods and techniques sufficient to advise on and/or resolve moderately complex noncontroversial, well-precedent factual, procedural; make informed judgements on problems and issues.
Skill in the use and application of PDS data, ACCESS, EXCEL, ORACLE HR and other analytical and technical software packages.
Knowledge of automated systems, personal computers, and relational database technology.
Ability to analyze data/products to determine adequacy of data to support programs within the USAFR and Air National Guard structures.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible.
One year at the GS-05 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-06 level. One year at the GS-06 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level.
TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.

GS-07 The primary purpose of this position is: To provide assistance in support of the Air Reserve Personnel Center's office, which is primarily responsible for researching, verifying.
correcting and updating the Military Personnel Data System (M1lPDS) for various data Items to ensure the proper career credit and accurate accounting of members for the users of our Reserve resource DUTIES: GS-05/06 Performs developmental work assignments.
Performs recurring work assignments. Participates in special studies and projects. Prepares written correspondence and other documentation.
GS-07 Assists in performing analyses, computes, verifies and updates for a variety of data elements in MilPDS for Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard members in accordance with current and historical laws, governing directives and internal policies.
Assists in making the appropriate determinations of member's status and proper assignment within IRR/Standby Reserve.
Independently develops and provides verbal and written responses to inquiries and answers questions through the Case Management System (CMS), REMEDY, telephone, writing, E-mail.
Assists in processing gain actions and loss requests within IRR/Standby Reserve S7 PAS Inquires against and updates computer files.
