Requirements

As Human Resource Assistant 2, you will control and direct the administrative functions of the PSP HR Office Manager and three Divisions.

This includes overseeing the flow of all incoming correspondence, directing work assignments to the proper division and ensuring work is completed in a timely manner.

You will be expected to perform quality assurance functions for work products by conducting in-depth reviews of final submission of publications to ensure the product is complete, accurate, and adheres to PSP Department regulations.

Attention to detail is key as you proofread work submitted by the Divisions prior to signature by the HR Manager and maintain a log of incoming and outgoing Office correspondence.

You will be tasked with preparing reports and entering data to comply with Office of Administration and PSP programs and directives.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Human Resource Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of clerical or other comparable experience and one year of beginning level paraprofessional human resource or equal opportunity work; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.


Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
