Requirements

As the Workforce Support Section Supervisor, you will lead a team of HR professionals responsible for delivering key workforce programs and services to multiple client agencies. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with polices and management directives while overseeing programs such as workplace safety, employee assistance (SEAP), workplace violence prevention, and performance management. You will have the opportunity to provide guidance on complex employee issues, ensuring timely and accurate performance evaluations, and support the development of effective performance standards and improvement plans. Work also involves coordinating training initiatives, managing Right-to-Know Law requests, and collaborating with internal and external to resolve HR matters. This role also includes supervisory responsibilities, including assigning work, evaluating performance, approving leave, and supporting staff development, ensuring efficient operations and a compliant, high-performing workforce.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are negotiable between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Human Resource Analyst 1 or Equal Opportunity Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of analytical experience that includes one year of professional human resource or equal opportunity experience, and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
