About the Position: This position is with the US Army Installation Management Command, USAG (Redstone Arsenal) Directorate of Public Works Housing Division, Redstone Arsenal, AL.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes Assist with planning, coordinating, and administering housing programs such as Residential Communities Initiative (RCI), and Housing Services Office (HSO) operations.

Experience conducting inspections to ensure habitability and compliance with policies and standards. Analyzing program data to prepare reports and briefings.

Supporting housing program budgeting and resource management to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Major Duties:

  • Provides technical housing expertise and assistance to garrison Commander/Manager and other installation staff in representing Department of the Army (DA), Army Command, and garrison objectives.
  • Oversees the preparation/management of the General Flag Officer Quarters (GFOQ) Six Year Plans and quarterly cost reports of privatized GFOQs.
  • Responsible for broad management functions in support of the operations and utilization of the housing management programs, including Housing Services and Residential Communities Initiative (RCI)
  • Responsible for oversight of budgeting and execution in support of installation housing programs.
  • Develop garrison policies for all aspects of housing programs.
  • Oversees adherence to the compliance of the RCI transaction documents and the Community Development Management Plan (CDMP).
