  • Strong communication skills to explain solutions to customers, peers, and supervisors
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance (implied for NSA role)

Full Job Description

NSA is in need of skilled/experienced Facilities professionals. The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position.

If qualifying with a degree, degree must be in an Electrical related field (for example, Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, Applied Science in Electrical Engineering, and Computer Networking).

Relevant experience must include one or more of the following: working as an electrical tradesperson for the military or working as an industrial, utility, or commercial electrician, or as a relay or power generation technician.

Journeyman license can count for 4 years' experience.

Our High Voltage Technicians are responsible for high, medium, and low voltage electrical power installations.

Responsibilities include emergency and supplemental power generation, primary (HV/MV) and secondary (LV) electrical substations, overhead and underground power distribution, SCADA systems, digital and analog control systems, protective relaying equipment, large scale UPS systems, building services, switchgear, power conditioning equipment, as well as general lighting, grounding, and lightning protection systems.

Our High Voltage Technicians operate and maintain high voltage electrical systems such as main switchgear, relays, generators, uninterruptible power systems (UPS), power panels, lights, outlets, motors and controls operating at up to 115,000 volts.

The candidate will adapt work methods in response to new information, changing conditions, emergencies, or unexpected obstacles.

The candidate will have the ability to articulate viewpoints and solutions to customers, peers, and supervisors in an effective manner.

The candidate will identify and analyze technical issues, reporting, and documentation and contribute to project status briefings.
