This temporary role involves a current high school teacher delivering college-level courses to high school students at their school, allowing students to earn credits for both high school and Midlands Technical College.

It's ideal for experienced high school educators in Richland, Lexington, or Fairfield counties who want to expand their teaching to include college subjects while staying in their current job.

The position follows the college's standards but is paid by the high school.

*Must be a current high school teacher employed by a participating high school in Richland, Lexington, or Fairfield county to be eligible*

Dual Enrollment Instructors teach high school and Midlands Technical College (MTC) courses at a participating high school.

The MTC course, and by extension, the Instructor, are under the purview of MTC and the supervision of the appropriate MTC Department Chair.

Dual Enrollment Instructors are expected to comply with relevant MTC policies and procedures.

Dual enrollment courses shall be equivalent to the pedagogical orientation of the MTC academic department and contain the same student learning outcomes, assessment and evaluation of student learning outcomes and instructional effectiveness.Midlands Technical College is dedicated to providing excellent service to its students, employees, and the community.

This position is located on the Campuses of participating High Schools in Richland, Lexington, and Fairfield Counties. Requirements High school teaching experience.

High school teachers at participating high schools who desire to teach MTC courses must be vetted by the MTC program.

Additional Information Dual Enrollment Instructor are compensated by the employing high school.
