Please see Additional Information section below.*** You will serve as a HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC LEADER in the Forward Operations Division of MAINTENANCE CENTER ALBANY.

  • You will perform all maintenance functions required for all equipment and weapon systems processed through the Maintenance Center Forward in support of several significant Marine Corps wide programs.
  • You will fit and install parts, such as pistons, valves, bearing, gears, and cylinders to appropriate tolerances, makes changes or modifications in accordance with specifications and guidelines.
  • You will perform duties as the Working Leader for other Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanics, other journeymen, workers, and helpers.
  • You will act as the Supervisor in the absence of the supervisor.
  • You will be required to maintain a Technician Certification, which is required to inspect own workmanship and the quality of the product worked / processed.
  • You will ensure any related delays are properly and accurately recorded and/or reported in accordance with local policy and procedures.
