About the Position: Serves as Chief, Quality Management Division, Accreditation and Compliance Officer, Patient SafetyManager, and Risk Manager at a Military Treatment Facility (MTF) reporting to the Chief MedicalOfficer (CMO).

Responsibilities encompass developing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating theorganization's Quality Management and Risk Management program This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Specialized experience: One-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service in serving as subject-matter expert for the implementation of quality management programs and procedures; serving as consultant for all components of the Quality Management (QM) Program such as Performance Improvement (PI), Infection Prevention and Control (IP&C), Accreditation and Compliance, Risk Management, Patient Safety, Clinical Measurement, and Credentialing and Privileging programs Major Duties:

  • Reviews all actions from MTF sections and confirms compliance in accordance with DHA, BUMED, The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, local policy, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Serves as Chief, Quality Management Division, Accreditation and Compliance Officer, Patient Safety Manager, and Risk Manager at a Military Treatment Facility (MTF)
  • Manages litigation related processes,
  • Reviews attorney medical record requests, identifying involved providers in malpractice claims
  • Manages Credentialling and Patient Safety programs through assigned specialists
  • Promotes active participation in MTF QM programs, teaches QM and PI methodologies, appraises all QM programs annually,
