About the Position: This position is under the Quality Management Department located at Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) verifying records for accuracy; 2) organizing electronic files; 3) using automated systems for data entry; and 4) providing customer service.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Healthcare Administration, Business Management.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18.

Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).

Major Duties:

• Perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties in support of the hospital's credentialing and privileging program for all physician and non physician Health Care Provider's (HCP).
• Prepare provider profiles and enters required information concerning education, training, licensure, performance, and other pertinent required data into the hospitals Centralized Credentialing.
• Prepare various reports on licensure status.
• Perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties in support of the hospital's credentialing.
