Job Description

Summary

This job involves traveling across West Virginia to train child support enforcement staff on policies, procedures, and a specific computer system, with a focus on financial aspects of the work.

The role includes creating training materials, acting as a go-between for different offices, and ensuring everyone understands laws and rules.

A good fit would be someone organized with teaching experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with child support or financial programs, who doesn't mind lots of driving and overnight stays.

Full Job Description

This position will involve statewide travel.

Employee must have a vehicle available for use and be available for over night travel.

Under General Supervision, this position will provide Child Support Enforcement Policy, Procedure, and OSCAR System Training Statewide to new and tenured staff, including but not limited to Bureau for Child Support Enforcement Staff.

Acts as a liaison with regional , and county offices statewide to ensure that regional, county, and individual training needs are met. Interprets Federal and State laws, regulations, and policies for staff and ensures that training properly represents policy in the curriculum.

Writes, edits, and develops curricula consistent with a competency-based training system to ensure basic proficiency and continued professional development for Bureau of Child Support Enforcement.

Plans, develops and implements specialized training based on training needs identified.

This position will focus on planning, developing, and implementing training focusing on Financial side of BCSE work.

Uses operational aspects of training including the use of facilities, classroom management, and Trainee supervision to ensure effective operation of training. Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Microsoft word, power point, and excel. Written and oral communication skills are essential. This position is located Statewide.

Qualifications

Training: Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
Substitution: Additional experience as described below may be substituted for the required training on a year-for-year basis.

Experience: Four years full-time, equivalent part-time paid or volunteer experience in a technical or program area that is related to the area of employment.
Substitution: Post-graduate education in a field related to the technical or program area may be substituted for the required experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours for one year of experience.
