Under general supervision, performs full-performance level work in multiple-step clerical tasks calling for interpretation and application of office procedures, rules and regulations.

Duties include: answering telephones, screening calls, taking messages/complaints, greeting the public, giving out general information, referring to other departments, agencies, businesses; receiving, sorting and distributing incoming/outgoing mail, maintaining postage supplies and processing outgoing mail; scheduling appointments and keeping patient/client records updated in computer; completing routine daily office tasks; ordering and maintaining supply of necessary forms and applications for all programs; maintaining lab and program(s) tracking system in computer; typing letters/correspondences; printing a variety of documents/vouchers/transactions; typing and mailing inspections or official notifications to state offices; maintaining Rolodex card filing system on all septic and water well permits; collecting fees for service or permits and writing receipts; calculating reports/bank deposits/fees collected from clients/customers; maintaining and documenting medical information, and appointment information in patient’s medical record; and receiving and processing X-ray files obtained from patient.


This position assists in the Agency’s operations by assuring normal procedures are followed at county offices. Serves as liaison for the county office. May act as onsite spokesperson for the agency, as directed by the Executive Director, or designee. Other duties as assigned.
