The West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility is seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Service Workers to join our long-term care team.
As a Health Service Worker in a long-term care setting, your duties are focused on activities of daily living, monitoring health, and providing essential companionship and emotional support.
Key responsibilities include:
Interact routinely with residents, observe behavior patterns, and communicate significant observations to RN.
Attend to the physical needs of the residents, such as assistance with personal hygiene tasks, feeding and mobility, document information regarding resident care.
Participate in maintenance of a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
Assist in admission, discharge and transfer of residents as assigned to include personal inventory.
Obtain residents vital signs.
Assist nursing staff in responding to emergency situations
This position is full time (40 hours per week), with day and night shifts available. Must have flexibility to cover shifts as needed, including nights, weekends and holidays to ensure continuous, safe staffing levels.

Minimum Qualifications: Certification as a Nursing Assistant.
