This job involves handling financial tasks for grants in a county human services department, such as tracking money owed and bills, checking that grant rules are followed, and preparing payments to service providers.
It's a hybrid role with some office time required, especially during training.
A good fit would be someone detail-oriented with accounting experience in public or grant settings, who enjoys working with numbers and learning from feedback.

Why It's a Great Opportunity: As an experienced Accounting Assistant with grant and public sector experience you will be responsible for various accounting tasks such as tracking Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
You will review transactions and ensure any grant requirements are met.
You will also review service data reports, review and apply payments, reconcile billings and prepare reimbursements to service providers.

How to be Successful in the Role: We are looking for someone adept a classifying accounting transactions with exceptional attention to detail in everything they do.
Someone receptive to regular feedback and seeks to learn and grow. Someone with intermediate excel skills well above data entry who knows formulas, pivot tables, and V-lookups.
Plus knows Adobe Acrobat Pro to create various types of PDF documents. We’d like someone who can work effectively in a hybrid remote work and in-office environment.
