This job is for a skilled mechanic who maintains and repairs equipment used on a city golf course, while also helping train others on safe equipment use and occasionally doing basic grounds work.
It's ideal for someone with hands-on mechanical experience in engines, hydraulics, and tools, who enjoys outdoor work in a team setting and can handle early mornings and seasonal shifts.
A good fit would be a reliable person comfortable with physical tasks and building relationships with coworkers and vendors.

About this Position:
The Greenskeeper III serves as a Golf Course Equipment Mechanic within Portland Parks and Recreation.
This role is responsible for executing mechanical repairs, maintenance, and modifications on equipment utilized in golf course operations.
Additionally, the Golf Course Equipment Mechanic oversees others in the proper utilization of equipment. This position may entail maintenance of golf course greens, grounds, and facilities.
The Greenskeeper III directs, trains, and evaluates the work of others on equipment operation protocols to ensure adherence to grounds care standards.
