Summary

Full Job Description

This position is located in Risk Management Agency, Deputy Administrator for Compliance, Business Analytics Division. This position is designated as mobile work.

Mobile work is a condition of employment and is characterized by routine and regular travel to conduct work in customer or other worksites as opposed to a single authorized alternative worksite.

Time-in-Grade Requirement: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.

You must meet this requirement by the closing date of this announcement. Basic Requirement: GS-0150: 1.

Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in geography; or related physical or social science such as geology, meteorology, economics, statistics, sociology, anthropology, political science, history, cartography, computer science, urban studies, or planning that included at least 24 semester hours in geography or related fields.

OR 2.

Combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major in geography, or a related field that included at least 24 semester hours in geography or related fields, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement, you must also possess experience and/or directly related education listed below.

Specialized Experience Requirement For the GS-13 grade level: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one full-time year (12-months) of specialized work experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience is defined as: the ability to utilize Geographic Information System (GIS) concepts and techniques such as data conversions, georeferencing, spatial interpolation, etc.

In addition, my experience demonstrates the knowledge of, and skill in applying and adapting analytical and evaluative methods to assess the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of administrative and/or program operations and to develop, modify and improve operations.

EDUCATION CANNOT BE SUBSTITUTED FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE AT THE GS-13 LEVEL.
