Job Description

Summary

This job involves coordinating supply and outfitting needs for new naval aviation systems during their transition to full management, ensuring everything from parts provisioning to budgeting runs smoothly.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a General Supply Specialist in the Aviation Outfitting Requirements Division of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT Philadelphia PA.

GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing centralized coordination for the execution of APN-6 outfitting requirements and supply support during the transition of system management from interim to NAVSUP for new systems.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Having a deep understanding of outfitting requirements and early aviation lifecycle tasks.

2) Demonstrating experience coordinating aviation allowancing, outfitting, and Allowance Requirements Register (ARR) processes. 3) Delegating workloads, managing schedules, and optimizing resources.

4) Preparing reports detailing expenditures and remaining funds of the APN-6 Buy Out Accounts and 5) Communicating effectively to educate others on aviation outfitting requirements and to coordinate data for project execution.

  • You will have knowledge of the aviation allowance process, the buy-in/buyout process, Budget Assessment Memorandum (BAM) review procedures, FRWQ functions and processes.
  • You will have knowledge of APN-6 auditability requirements, resolving issues with IDOCs, the provisioning of new parts, pre-MSD timelines/actions, and methods for delivering transition products to fleet customers.
  • You will have knowledge of budgeting, project management, order fulfillment, inventory management, and demand and supply planning as they are related to providing logistics support.
  • You will have knowledge of the uses for and connections between various automated supply systems including NALCOMIS, Readiness Suite, Statistical Analysis Software (SAS), and Navy Data Platform (NDP).
