Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing and preparing lists of supplies needed for naval aviation equipment and shore-based operations, ensuring everything is accurate and delivered on time to support the fleet.

You'll coordinate with teams, track issues until they're fixed, and train others on these processes.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience at GS-11 level or equivalent, including expertise in creating and delivering AVCAL, SHORCAL, and MALSP Modernization packages

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Statistical Analysis Software for daily tasks
  • Experience training others and communicating effectively on AVCAL, SHORCAL, and MALSP processes
  • Ability to ensure completeness and accuracy of Aircraft Equipment Configuration Lists (AECL) for assigned systems
  • Skills in coordinating supply support with Integrated Weapon Systems Teams (IWSTs) to meet fleet needs
  • Experience tracking and resolving customer problems, including database updates for NAVSUP WSS

Full Job Description

You will serve as a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in the Aviation Allowance Division of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT, Philadelphia PA.

(GS-12) Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Subject matter expertise in the creation and delivery of Aviation Consolidated Allowance Lists (AVCAL) and Shore-based Consolidated Allowance Lists (SHORCAL) and MALSP Modernization packages.

2) Demonstrate expert use of the Readiness Suite application and experience utilizing Navy ERP.

3) Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access as well Statistical Analysis Software during regular duties.

4) Have experience training others and communicating effectively in the core skills associated with AVCAL, SHORCAL, AND MALSP Modernization packages.

  • You will be responsible for the preparation and the execution of the entire Aviation Consolidated Allowance List (AVCAL), Shore based Consolidated Allowance List (SHORCAL), and Marine Aviation Logistics Supply Program (MALSP) processes.
  • You will be responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the site Aircraft Equipment Configuration List (AECL) for assigned aircraft/weapons systems.
  • You will coordinate supply support efforts with the Integrated Weapon Systems Teams (IWSTs) to ensure fleet requirements are being properly supported.
  • You will track and monitor customer problems as well as follow up until resolution. Additionally, ensure that file updates required to improve accuracy of NAVSUP WSS and/or site databases are implemented.
