Job Description

Summary

This job is for a customer service role in a state call center, where you'll help the public, police, and government agencies by finding and explaining information from records, and also assist other office branches with lookups.

It's a full-time position with state benefits, ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people over the phone and handling routine office tasks.

A good fit would be an organized individual with some administrative experience who is patient and detail-oriented.

POSITION DUTIES - This employee must demonstrate skills in the full variety of work processes performed within the Customer Information Division (CID).

The incumbent is a customer service representative in the call center who retrieves and interprets information for the public, police, and governmental agencies as well as for other Department of State employees.

In addition, this employee provides interoffice record lookup service for DOS branch offices.Position Description - General Office Assistant 5-E7


APPOINTMENT TYPE/BENEFITS - This position is Full-Time. Therefore, you would be eligible to participate in the benefits offered by the state.

Education
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.

Experience
General Office Assistant 5 - No specific type or amount of experience is required.

General Office Assistant 6 - One year of administrative support experience.

General Office Assistant E7 - Two years of administrative support experience, including one year equivalent to the intermediate level.
