Full Job Description

This employee will be responsible for completing tasks on the Upper Coastal Waterfowl Project.

Job Duties Include:
  • Working on Upper Coastal Waterfowl Project properties including:
    • Samworth, Santee Coastal, Santee Delta.
  • Efficiently operating a long reach trackhoe.
  • Constructing dikes and re-topping dikes as needed.
  • Maintaining trackhoe and conducting preventative maintenance.
  • Operating other heavy equipment as needed on the Project.
  • Assisting with the installation of water control structures.
  • Supporting Upper Coastal Waterfowl Project where needed (i.e. hunting, burning and/or maintenance activities).

Requirements

High school diploma and four (4) years of experience in a specialized trades area.

Ability to obtain a CDL and Captains license.

Qualifications

Ability to proficiently and safely operate a long reach trackhoe. Ability to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to heavy equipment. Ability to work off of mats and in remote areas with the trackhoe. Ability to safely operate a boat and motor. Ability to operate bulldozer, backhoe and other heavy equipment.
